Tom Robinson
Tom Robinson was the man on trial for the rape and assault of Mayella
Ewell. He was not guilty but was convicted anyway. He died trying to escape from the Abottsville prison.

He is the Sherriff of Maycomb and was called as a witness because he went
to the Ewell house after Bob told him Mayella had been beat.

He was the father of Mayella Ewell. He is actually the one who beat Mayella. He was pressing charges on Tom to
"save his own skin". Boo Radley killed him when he attacked Jem and Scout.

Mayella Ewell
She tried to kiss Tom Robinson after asking him for help around the house. She was beat by her father for this
and claims that Tom raped her so she is not shuned by society for "tempting" a black man.
